If so, copy your set aside save files back (overwriting the ones you had just created in the test) and enjoy your game. After installing and 'verifying files,' run a test game just to see if the crashing is fixed. Next, download / install a Registry Cleaner and run a registry cleaning. Then, uninstalling, going through your system and deleting all the left behind folders for the game, and a restart is needed. if uninstalling / re-installing doesn't fix the issue, it's possible you have some erroneous data in the Windows Registry regarding the game.
